john hogan

John is the president and founder of Viscaya Development Group, a company he started after a number of years of developing high rise condominiums.  John started the company to develop architecturally significant and functionally superior projects.  He has formed the company in concert with Viscaya's experienced team who he has known over the years.  The company's past and present successes are a direct result of the team's extensive background in investment, development, construction and sales.  John's background in large scale development includes residential, retail, and hotel projects in several cities.

John's leadership experience provides a solid foundation for the company in the areas of land acquisition, project capitalization, construction, project management, marketing and sales.  He is a graduate of Villanova University with a B.S. in Finance and received a Masters in Business Administration from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University.  Prior to developing real estate, John managed a private fund in Atlanta, Georgia.

peter schnieper

Peter is the Chief Financial Officer and as such is responsible for development capitalization, financial strategy, corporate accounting and risk management for the company.  He has a long successful track record in transactional real estate finance in the areas of multi-family residential, retail, senior housing and long-term/acute care facilities.

Peter is a graduate of Villanova University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with majors in Finance and Accounting and received a Masters in Business Administration from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University. Peter is a member of the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Organizations (NAHRO), the American Hospital Association (AHA), the National Rural Health Association (NRHA), the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), and numerous state affiliates.

Prior to his real estate career, Peter was with Arthur Andersen in Atlanta, Georgia.

scott thompson

As company Vice President of Construction, Scott is responsible for all of Viscaya's construction operations throughout the southeast overseeing development, trade relations, contract negotiations, and management assignments.

Scott's extensive development knowledge earned by 22 years of solid industry experience through involvement in residential multi-family and light commercial projects in the metropolitan Atlanta area and throughout the United States compliments the Viscaya vision for sustainable value.

As a graduate of The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, Scott has continued executive management training through the U.S. Army schools and supplemented his education with distinguished military service.

Professional Designations: Licensed General Contractor, NJ, SC, Valdosta, GA, OSHA Certified, Level IA, IB, II Environmental Controls.

Awards: Greater Atlanta Homebuilders Association - Gold and Silver Professionalism Award Winner.

brian c. jones

Brian is responsible for initial site selection and due diligence on all Viscaya Development Group projects including sourcing the land, determining highest and best use for the property and developing initial site planning, engineering and proformas. With his engineering and development background Brian works hand in hand with our development and construction managers to resolve issues on ongoing developments.

Brian has worked in the local Atlanta real estate market for over 12 years having represented many construction lenders, developers and builders on a broad range of projects including single family and multi-family subdivisions, suburban retail and mixed use centers, high rise condominiums, office buildings and various other types of projects.

In addition to his development and construction experience, Brian is a trained building and site inspector having completed over 50 Property Condition Assessments of properties and facilities for owners, developers and mortgage lenders.

Brian has a Bachelors of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia.

jason linscott

Jason is responsible for the development of Viscaya projects from inception to completion.  He manages projects from due diligence through rezoning, contractor selection and management, creation and adherence to budgets, and product delivery.  Jason has experience in assembling and developing residential and retail projects in metro-Atlanta including gated single-family home communities and suburban retail shopping centers.  He managed the planning and re-development of underutilized commercial properties at a regional oil company and directed the planning, construction, and budgeting for the expansion of an oil terminal and pipeline facility.

Jason is an Atlanta native and graduated from Georgia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering.
